Dear Members and Friends of Good Shepherd,

Each of us has many things in our lives to which we can be thankful for.  One of the ways we live thankfully is to return a portion of the material gifts God has entrusted to our care to him for the yearly ministry and budget of his church.  This letter is to invite you to do so.

Stewardship means to give a portion back to God, because others have less than us.  It is a direct way of expressing our thanksgiving to God for these gifts.  Pledging does require some thought, some reflection, and some faith.  We do not ask that you put undue hardship upon yourself.  It should reflect a serious commitment to the place you have chosen as your spiritual home.

We encourage everyone to fill out the pledge card and bring them to the church.  Additional pledge cards will be available on the hospitality table in the fireside room. 

God is calling us to manage well in order to give generously and to care for the earth and its people as God’s own possession given to us for safekeeping.
